Storm Water 2009 - IMPORTANT

Our HomeOwners Association president, Mark Spring, recently went to City Hall today, July 22nd to inquire about the storm water discount application. He was informed that the community was APPROVED/PENDING. The pending is pending rebill. If you feel comfortable in waiting past the 31st due date we will get new bills. If you pay before, there will be a 30% discount applied to the Stormwater portion only, NOT the solid waste fee. In Mark Spring's case it is $18.00.

Regarding Cover Florida Health Care

March 27, 2009

I am grateful to Florida’s business owners and health care professionals who are raising awareness about affordable healthcare coverage that is now available to Floridians through Cover Florida.

In January, we launched the Cover Florida Health Care plan. People choose what works for them – for their health – and for their wallet. As of February 28th, 952 Floridians have enrolled.

While these numbers may seem small, I know the health care coverage does not seem small to those who are Cover Florida policyholders. They now have affordable health care coverage – coverage they did not have before Cover Florida Health Care.

Policyholders are able to save hundreds of dollars a month on their health care costs. For that reason, I am calling on statewide and community organizations to make Floridians aware of Cover Florida Health Care.

No tax dollars have been used to create or advertise Cover Florida Health Care. As a result, many people who need affordable coverage don’t know about Cover Florida yet.

And that’s where you can help. Please help us get word to uninsured Floridians. People need to know they can find out more about Cover Florida Health Care at www.CoverFloridaHealthCare.com

Thank you, and God bless Florida.

Governor Charlie Crist

Theft on Dover Cliff Court

I reside on Dover Cliff Court in Pilgrims Trace. On April 21, 2005 my husbands truck was stolen from our driveway. It was later recovered at the horse club on Walden Road but not without serious vandalism and damage. PLEASE BE AWARE OF ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT.

Response:

I am sorry to hear of your family's misfortune. I hope that you notified the police. I would ask that you let us know sooner so as we can be on top of the issue from the start. Please let us know what the police found out and any information that would be of use to the neighborhood as a whole. — Thank you, Mark Spring, SLPTHOA Pres.

Theft at 7567 Dover Cliff Dr. N.

I live at 7567 Dover Cliff Dr. N. (corner of Pilgrim's Trace & Dover Cliff). Today, Sunday, I discovered that about a dozen of my large garden stones in my front yard had been stolen. I checked with family members to make sure they had not moved them. This probably occurred late Saturday night, April 16 or early Sunday morning, April 17. If you ride by my property you will see the type of garden stones that were stolen.

Please advise as to what actions, in any, I should take.

Response:

I am sorry to here about your loss and thank you for letting us know. I will have this posted on our web site, but it is truly a police matter. You may think this is petty theft, but they will take a report over the phone and if a pattern develops will be able to act upon it. Yes, in your case it was a very small amount, but many in the neighborhood have many expensive plants, please notify the authorities. —
Thank you, Mark Spring, SLPTHOA President
